Korean reading practice, matched to what you already know
BwaStories is a small library of short Korean stories, each paired line-by-line with an English translation. Instead of guessing whether a story is too easy or too hard, BwaStories reads your actual Anki vocabulary and tells you, before you start, roughly how much of each story you'll already understand.
How the reader works

Sync your vocabulary from Anki.
Use "↑ Update from Anki" in the sidebar to drop in a
.colpkgor.apkgexport. Any card with at least one review is treated as a word you know — entirely in your browser, nothing is uploaded anywhere. - Stories are sorted by coverage. The sidebar groups every story into buckets by what percentage of its vocabulary you already know, so you can jump straight to stories at the right level instead of reading the first paragraph to find out.
- Highlighting shows you what's new. Toggle Highlight known / Highlight unknown to mark words in a story green or amber. Hover or tap a highlighted word for its translation.
- Translations on demand. Click any English line to reveal it, or use Show all translations to open every line in the story at once.
- Track what you've read. Mark a story as read and it moves into your Completed list, so your sidebar always reflects what's left.
What coverage percentage should I read at?
70–90% known vocabulary is the sweet spot — enough unfamiliar words to actually learn something new from context, without so many that you lose the thread of the story. That band is marked ✦ recommended in the sidebar.
Below 70%, a story will feel like mostly new vocabulary — good for an occasional stretch, but tiring as a default diet. Above 90%, you're mostly reviewing words you've already learned, which is great for confidence and fluency but won't add much new vocabulary on its own.
