하이나는 우주선 조종사였어요.

Haina was a spaceship pilot.

그녀의 임무는 새로운 행성을 탐사하는 것이었어요.

Her mission was to explore a new planet.

혼자 떠나는 임무라서 조금 무서웠지만 설레기도 했어요.

It was a solo mission, so she was a little scared but also excited.

우주선은 새벽에 출발했어요. 지구가 점점 작아졌어요.

The spaceship departed at dawn. The Earth grew smaller and smaller.

하이나는 화면을 보면서 데이터를 확인했어요.

Haina checked the data while looking at the screen.

엔진 소리만 조용히 들렸어요. 우주는 생각보다 고요했어요.

Only the quiet hum of the engine could be heard. Space was calmer than she had expected.

하이나는 좌석에 앉아서 창밖의 별들을 오랫동안 바라봤어요.

Haina sat in her seat and gazed at the stars outside the window for a long time.

사흘째 되는 날 갑자기 이상한 신호가 들어왔어요.

On the third day, a strange signal suddenly came in.

화면에 알 수 없는 좌표가 나타났어요.

Unknown coordinates appeared on the screen.

하이나는 인공지능에게 신호를 분석하라고 했어요.

Haina asked the AI to analyse the signal.

"신호 출처를 확인할 수 없습니다." 인공지능이 대답했어요.

"The source of the signal cannot be confirmed," the AI answered.

하이나는 잠시 생각했어요. 그리고 신호가 온 방향으로 우주선을 돌렸어요.

Haina thought for a moment. Then she turned the spaceship toward the direction the signal came from.

한 시간 후 갑자기 엔진 경고 알람이 울렸어요.

An hour later the engine warning alarm suddenly sounded.

패널에 빨간 불이 켜졌어요. 엔진 하나가 꺼졌어요.

A red light turned on the panel. One engine had shut off.

하이나는 빠르게 매뉴얼을 찾아봤어요. 손이 조금 떨렸어요.

Haina quickly looked through the manual. Her hands trembled a little.

"침착하게." 스스로에게 말했어요. 그리고 수리 절차를 시작했어요.

"Calmly." She told herself. Then she began the repair procedure.

우주복을 입고 선체 밖으로 나갔어요.

She put on her spacesuit and went outside the hull.

우주의 진공 속에서 별빛만 가득했어요.

In the vacuum of space only starlight filled everything.

센서를 교체하고 엔진을 다시 연결했어요.

She replaced the sensor and reconnected the engine.

엔진이 다시 작동했어요. 하이나는 안도의 숨을 내쉬었어요.

The engine worked again. Haina breathed a sigh of relief.

그때 눈앞에 처음 보는 행성이 나타났어요. 신호는 그곳에서 오고 있었어요.

At that moment a planet she had never seen appeared before her eyes. The signal was coming from there.

하이나의 심장이 빠르게 두근거렸어요.

Haina's heart beat fast.

하이나는 우주선으로 돌아와서 잠시 앉아 있었어요.

Haina returned to the spaceship and sat still for a moment.

무섭기도 했지만 호기심이 더 컸어요.

She was scared, but her curiosity was greater.

기지에 통신을 보냈어요. 하지만 응답이 없었어요.

She sent a communication to the base. But there was no response.

혼자 결정해야 했어요. 하이나는 눈을 감고 천천히 숨을 쉬었어요.

She had to decide alone. Haina closed her eyes and breathed slowly.

"가보자." 그녀는 조용히 말하고 행성을 향해 우주선을 돌렸어요.

"Let's go." She said quietly and turned the spaceship toward the planet.

대기권에 들어서자 우주선이 조금 흔들렸어요. 하지만 하이나는 침착하게 조종했어요.

As she entered the atmosphere the spaceship shook a little. But Haina piloted it calmly.

창밖으로 처음 보는 색깔의 하늘이 펼쳐졌어요. 새로운 세계가 시작되고 있었어요.

Outside the window a sky of colours she had never seen spread before her. A new world was beginning.
