수진은 여름방학을 맞아 오랜만에 바닷가 마을에 내려왔다.

During summer vacation, Sujin came down to the seaside village after a long time.

그녀의 할머니는 작은 식당을 운영하고 있었다.

Her grandmother was running a small restaurant.

"수진아! 정말 많이 컸구나!" 할머니가 반갑게 말했다.

"Sujin! You've grown so much!" her grandmother said warmly.

"할머니도 건강해 보이셔서 다행이에요."

"I'm glad you look healthy too, Grandma."

식당 앞에는 바다를 구경하는 관광객들이 많았다.

There were many tourists watching the sea in front of the restaurant.

수진은 짐을 정리한 후 마을을 천천히 걸었다.

After organizing her luggage, Sujin slowly walked around the village.

그때 뒤에서 누군가 그녀의 이름을 불렀다.

Then someone called her name from behind.

"혹시 수진이야?" 한 남자가 웃으며 물었다.

"Are you Sujin by any chance?" a man asked with a smile.

수진은 잠시 생각하다가 깜짝 놀랐다.

Sujin thought for a moment and became surprised.

"준호야? 정말 오랜만이다!"

"Junho? It's really been a long time!"

준호는 수진의 어린 시절 친구였다.

Junho was Sujin's childhood friend.

"서울에서 공부한다고 들었는데 방학이라 내려온 거야?"

"I heard you were studying in Seoul. Did you come down because it's vacation?"

"응. 오랜만에 할머니도 뵙고 쉬고 싶었어."

"Yeah. I wanted to see my grandmother and rest for a while."

"잘 왔다. 마을이 예전보다 많이 달라졌거든."

"Good thing you came. The village has changed a lot from before."

두 사람은 해변을 따라 걸으며 이야기를 나누었다.

The two walked along the beach and talked together.

"서울 생활은 어때?" 준호가 물었다.

"How is life in Seoul?" Junho asked.

"사람도 많고 편리하긴 한데 가끔은 너무 복잡해서 힘들어."

"There are lots of people and it's convenient, but sometimes it's too complicated and tiring."

"그래도 네가 원하던 디자인 공부를 하고 있잖아."

"But you're studying the design you always wanted."

수진은 잠시 바다를 바라보았다.

Sujin looked at the sea for a moment.

"사실 요즘 자신이 없어졌어."

"Actually, these days I've lost confidence."

"왜? 무슨 일 있었어?"

"Why? Did something happen?"

"학교에서 다들 실력이 좋아서 나는 아직 부족하다는 생각이 들어."

"Everyone at school is so talented that I feel I'm still lacking."

준호는 조용히 고개를 끄덕였다.

Junho quietly nodded.

"나도 비슷한 생각을 자주 해."

"I often think similar things too."

"너도?"

"You too?"

"응. 나는 아버지 일을 도우면서 살고 있는데 가끔은 더 큰 도시에서 새로운 일을 해 보고 싶거든."

"Yeah. I'm helping with my father's work here, but sometimes I want to try working in a bigger city."

수진은 웃으며 말했다.

Sujin smiled and said,

"우리 둘 다 없는 것만 생각하고 있나 봐."

"Maybe both of us are only thinking about what we don't have."

준호는 웃음을 터뜨렸다.

Junho burst into laughter.

"그럴지도 모르겠다."

"Maybe that's true."

해가 천천히 지고 있었다.

The sun was slowly setting.

붉은 노을이 바다 위에 퍼지고 있었다.

A red sunset glow was spreading over the sea.

"내일 시간 있으면 같이 배 타러 갈래?" 준호가 물었다.

"If you have time tomorrow, do you want to go ride a boat together?" Junho asked.

"좋아. 정말 기대된다."

"Sure. I'm really looking forward to it."
