에린은 작은 산골 마을에서 살고 있었다.

Erin was living in a small mountain village.

마을 사람들은 오래전부터 숲 깊은 곳에 마법사가 산다고 믿고 있었다.

The villagers had long believed that a wizard lived deep inside the forest.

하지만 아무도 그 마법사를 직접 본 적은 없었다.

However, no one had ever actually seen the wizard.

"에린아, 절대로 혼자 숲에 들어가면 안 된다," 할머니가 항상 말했다.

"Erin, you must never enter the forest alone," her grandmother always said.

에린은 고개를 끄덕였지만 속으로는 숲에 대한 호기심이 점점 커지고 있었다.

Erin nodded, but her curiosity about the forest kept growing.

어느 날 밤 하늘에 푸른 빛이 나타났다.

One night, a blue light appeared in the sky.

마을 사람들은 겁에 질려 문을 닫았다.

The villagers became frightened and closed their doors.

"분명히 마법 때문일 거야," 사람들이 수군거렸다.

"It must be because of magic," the people whispered.

하지만 에린은 이상하게도 무섭지 않았다.

But strangely, Erin was not afraid.

"저 빛은 마치 나를 부르는 것 같아…"

"That light feels like it's calling me..."

다음 날 새벽에 에린은 조용히 집을 나섰다.

At dawn the next day, Erin quietly left the house.

숲 안은 생각보다 조용했다.

Inside the forest was quieter than she expected.

나무들 사이로 작은 빛들이 춤추듯 움직이고 있었다.

Small lights were moving between the trees as if dancing.

"정령들인가…?"

"Are they spirits...?"

그때 갑자기 뒤에서 낮은 목소리가 들려왔다.

Then suddenly, a low voice was heard from behind.

"인간이 여기까지 들어오다니 드문 일이군."

"It is rare for a human to come this far."

에린은 놀라서 뒤를 돌아보았다.

Erin turned around in surprise.

검은 망토를 입은 젊은 남자가 서 있었다.

A young man wearing a black cloak was standing there.

"혹시 당신이 마법사인가요?"

"Are you the wizard?"

남자는 조용히 웃었다.

The man smiled quietly.

"사람들은 나를 그렇게 부르지."

"People call me that."

"왜 마을에 나타나지 않는 거예요? 다들 당신을 무서워하고 있어요."

"Why don't you appear in the village? Everyone is afraid of you."

"예전에는 그렇지 않았어."

"It wasn't like that before."

남자의 표정이 갑자기 슬퍼졌다.

The man's expression suddenly became sad.

"오래전 내 마법이 실수로 큰 불을 일으켰거든."

"Long ago, my magic accidentally caused a great fire."

"그래서 혼자 지내는 건가요?"

"So that's why you live alone?"

남자는 천천히 고개를 끄덕였다.

The man slowly nodded.

"하지만 당신은 나쁜 사람처럼 보이지 않아요."

"But you don't seem like a bad person."

남자는 놀란 눈으로 에린을 바라보았다.

The man looked at Erin with surprised eyes.

"사람들이 나에게 그런 말을 한 건 아주 오랜만이군."

"It's been a very long time since someone said something like that to me."

그때 멀리서 거대한 울음소리가 들려왔다.

Then a huge cry was heard from far away.

"저건 숲의 용이야!" 에린이 외쳤다.

"That's the dragon of the forest!" Erin shouted.

남자의 표정이 굳어졌다.

The man's expression hardened.

"봉인이 약해진 모양이군."

"It seems the seal has weakened."

"우리가 막아야 하는 거죠?"

"We have to stop it, right?"

남자는 잠시 망설였지만 곧 미소를 지었다.

The man hesitated for a moment, but soon smiled.

"그래. 하지만 이번에는 혼자가 아니군."

"Yes. But this time, I'm not alone."
